My Services

If you are looking for an exceptionally well-qualified and experienced Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (CBT Therapist), I invite you to take a moment to see if I might be able to help you.

Having worked in mental health for over 20 years, I have helped hundreds of people overcome their challenges and move towards a more fulfilling life.

You may have noticed that a lot of therapists are offering CBT. When you decide whom to go with, it’s important to ensure that they are fully BABCP accredited. This way you can be sure they have been trained to the highest level in CBT. In addition to having this accreditation, I have supervised and mentored therapists who are training to become BABCP accredited with AngliaRuskinUniversity. I have been a Locum senior clinician with complex cases and supervisor for Watford IAPT Service.

Regardless of what you are experiencing right now, things can improve – and I’d welcome the chance to speak with you about how we might be able to get there.

Please feel free to look around the site, see what clients have said and, if my approach resonates with you, take the first step in moving forward by contacting me.

Even if I cannot help, I’ll do my very best to point you in the right direction.

How many sessions will I need?

It’s always hard to know how many sessions this will take. Most people get what they need in around ten sessions. A good rule of thumb is to commit to six sessions, and then on session six, we’ll take stock, see how you’re going, and see if you need any more. If you find that you don’t need that many sessions, that’s fine too. Often people like to have a clear idea of cost if you get in touch we can discuss assessment fees and I will advise you on request of the fees and how many sessions may be required during the initial assessment interview, once I have a clear idea of your needs.

Sessions last about three quarters of an hour for one to one, or couples therapy. A popular and successful format is to have sessions weekly, and it is possible to opt for bi-weekly sessions if preferred. Most work can be completed over an average of 12 – 20 sessions, depending on the nature and severity of the problem.

Working with professional third parties

In situations where a combination of treatments such as psychotherapy and medication, or physical rehabilitation is required, arrangements can be made to work with other professionals, who have been working with your case. This ensures that you get the best outcome. Perhaps your Doctor, or another professional would like to be in touch, with your permission of course?
